A Morning Prayer
Of gratitude and praise,
For the kind mercy He has shown
In length'ning out my days.
Keep me from danger and from sin;
Help me Thy will to do,
So that my heart be pure within;
And I Thy goodness know.

Jesus - My Strength in Weakness
Jesus! Lover of my soul;
Friends may fail me, foes assail me,
He, my Savior, makes me whole.
Jesus! what a Strength in weakness!
Let me hide myself in Him.
Tempted, tried, and sometimes failing,
He, my Strength, my victory wins.
Jesus! what a Help in sorrow!
While the billows over me roll,
Even when my heart is breaking,
He, my Comfort, helps my soul.
Jesus! what a Guide and Keeper!
While the tempest still is high,
Storms about me, night overtakes me,
He, my Pilot, hears my cry.
Jesus! I do now adore Him,
More than all in Him I find.
He hath granted me forgiveness,
I am His, and He is mine.
REFRAIN:
Hallelujah! what a Savior!
Hallelujah! what a Friend!
Saving, helping, keeping, loving,
He is with me to the end.

My Heart With Thanks Overflows
When my heart with thanks overflows,
And my voice in hymns so gladly
Soaring up to God's throne goes,
Soaring up to God's throne goes.
Dwelling in the Spirit's splendor,
Gladly I'll devote this day
To my good and gracious Master,
Thankful tributes to Him pay,
Thankful tributes to Him pay.

Must I Not Stem the Flood?
Am I a soldier of the cross,
A follower of the Lamb,
And shall I fear to own His cause,
Or blush to speak His Name?
Must I be carried to the skies
On flowery beds of ease,
While others fought to win the prize,
And sailed through bloody seas?
Are there no foes for me to face?
Must I not stem the flood?
Is this vile world a friend to grace,
To help me on to God?
Sure I must fight if I would reign;
Increase my courage, Lord.
I’ll bear the toil, endure the pain,
Supported by Thy Word.

If We Would Christ's Disciples Be
Where Jesus sought the Father's face!
O take the cup of death from me,
Its awful pain and agony!
Yet not my will, but Thine be done;
This was the plea of God's own Son.
None other could for sin atone;
In anguish deep He prayed alone.
If we would Christ's disciples be
Our will with His must blended be;
Our very self must be overcome
That we may say, "Thy will be done."
As Jesus in Gethsemane
By prayer attained the victory,
So shall we, when we seek His face,
Still find in Him abundant grace.

Face to Face
Face to face, what will it be,
When with rapture I behold Him,
Jesus Christ, who died for me?
Face to face I shall behold Him,
Far beyond the starry sky;
Face to face in all His glory,
I shall see Him by and by!
Face to face! O blissful moment!
Face to face to see and know,
Face to face with my Redeemer,
Jesus Christ, who loves me so!
Face to face I shall behold Him,
Far beyond the starry sky;
Face to face in all His glory,
I shall see Him by and by!

How Can I Be Lonely?
Constantly supporting me each moment of the day;
How can I be lonely when such fellowship is mine,
With my blessed Lord divine!
How can I be lonely
When I've Jesus only to be my companion and unfailing guide?
Why should I be weary,
Or my path seem dreary,
When He's walking by my side!
Days may bring their burdens and their trials as I go,
But my Lord is near and helps to make them lighter grow,
Life may have its crosses or its losses, or increase,
Jesus meets them all with peace.
How can I be lonely
When I've Jesus only to be my companion and unfailing guide?
Why should I be weary,
Or my path seem dreary,
When He's walking by my side!

My Feeble Endeavor
My endeavor is but feeble, Lord!
Though my failing is prevailing,
Thou dost strength afford.
For Thy blood doth life impart
And Thy Spirit fills my heart.
At the crowning,
Songs resounding,
Blend in sweet accord.

My Jesus, As Thou Wilt
Oh, may Thy will be mine;
Into Thy hand of love
I would my all resign:
Thro' sorrow or thro' joy,
Conduct me as Thine own,
And help me still to say,
My Lord, Thy will be done.
My Jesus, as Thou wilt;
Tho' seen thro' many a tear,
Let not my star of hope
Grow dim or disappear;
Since Thou on earth hast wept,
And sorrowed oft alone,
If I must weep with Thee,
My Lord, Thy will be done.
My Jesus, as Thou wilt;
All shall be well for me;
Each changing future scene
I gladly trust with Thee;
Straight to my home above
I travel calmly on,
And sing, in life or death, --
My Lord, Thy will be done.

No Wishing For Elsewhere To Be
We read of a place that’s called heaven,
It’s made for the pure and the free;
These truths in God’s Word He hath given,
How beautiful heaven must be!
In heaven no drooping nor pining,
No wishing for elsewhere to be;
God’s light is forever there shining,
How beautiful heaven must be!
Pure waters of life there are flowing,
And all who will drink may be free;
Rare jewels of splendor are glowing,
How beautiful heaven must be!
The angels so sweetly are singing,
Up there by the beautiful sea;
Sweet chords from their gold harps are ringing,
How beautiful heaven must be!
Refrain:
How beautiful heaven must be,
Sweet home of the happy and free;
Fair haven of rest for the weary,
How beautiful heaven must be!

He Giveth More Grace
"But He giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble." -James 4:6
He giveth more grace when the burdens grow greater,
He sendeth more strength when the labors increase;
To added affliction He addeth His mercy;
To multiplied trials, His multiplied peace.
His love has no limit; His grace has no measure.
His pow'r has no boundary known unto men;
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus,
He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again!
When we have exhausted our store of endurance,
When our strength has failed ere the day is half done,
When we reach the end of our hoarded resources,
Our Father's full giving is only begun.
His love has no limit; His grace has no measure.
His pow'r has no boundary known unto men;
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus,
He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again!
Fear not that thy need shall exceed His provision,
Our God ever yearns His resources to share;
Lean hard on the arm everlasting, availing;
The Father both thee and thy load will upbear.
His love has no limit; His grace has no measure.
His pow'r has no boundary known unto men;
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus,
He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again!

Rouse Us to be Zealous
Who lived in want and meekness;
She had a loving heart and cared
For needy ones in weakness.
And many tears of grief did fall,
Till Peter sent by God did call,
O Tabitha, arise! O Tabitha, arise!
O that the Lord in this our time
Would send a Peter to us,
That he with heaven's joy sublime
Would rouse us to be zealous.
O God, from Heaven strengthen us,
Revive Thy church with mightiness!
O Tabitha, arise! O Tabitha, arise!

The Sweetness in Life
When oft the soul would homeward fly,
And give the sweetness to your life,
Of waiting for the rest on high.
God bless you! God bless you!
Bless and keep us all in Jesus' love,
And, when our partings here are over,
Take us to the joys above.

The Homeland in Heaven
The homeland in Heaven alone has true worth.
Naught here stills my longing, naught can me inspire
To dwell there forever is what I desire;
To dwell there forever is what I desire.
There tears never fall and no night shall be there.
The stars in their splendor God's glory declare;
And greatest of raptures! My eyes there shall see
The face of my Saviour in eternity!
The face of my Saviour in eternity!

Oh when shall I be there?

With God's elect forevermore
In blessed harmony.

I Shall Perceive Clearly
What now on earth I dimly see;
There I'll define as wondrous, holy,
What here perplexing seems to me;
And then I'll praise God when I see
His will in its entirety.

What Makes Satan Tremble
Prayer makes the Christian's armor bright;
And Satan trembles when he sees
The weakest saint upon his knees.
Were half the breath oft vainly spent,
To heaven in supplication sent,
Our cheerful song would oftener be,
"Hear what the Lord has done for me."
--Hymns of Zion #202 vs. 3-4
Let us not vainly spend our breath in worrying or in gossip, but rather, usefully, in supplication to our great God.

The Cross Sets the Spirit Free
If here our love should cease,
For in the man of Galilee,
We find the gift of peace.
'Tis not the babe, but Christ the man
Who walked in Galilee;
'Tis not the manger, but the cross
That sets the spirit free.
Be not content this babe to know,
Nor stay at Bethlehem,
But go with Christ to Calvary's brow,
Beyond Jerusalem.
'Tis there men learn to know the Christ,
For there He bore man's sin.
Then open wide the door of heart,
And let the Saviour in.

He's the One
Who can move the mountains that are hindering you today?
Who can pick them up like pebbles, clear them from your way?
Who can prove His power when a Christian kneels to pray?
It is Jesus; He’s the One.
Who can heal the heartache that is crushing you within?
Who can pour the balm of heaven where the hurt has been?
Who can chase the shadows, make the song of joys begin?
It is Jesus; He’s the One.
Who can keep you from all harm and guide you by His hand?
Who can give you power for service and the strength to stand?
Who can give you grace for all that living may demand?
It is Jesus; He’s the One.
Chorus:
Jesus holds all power in His mighty hand divine.
He’s the One who heals the sick, turns water into wine;
He makes all things possible, and He’s a Friend of mine;
Blessed Jesus, He’s the One.
